FILM NEWS: Bond 25 WONT be called "Shatterhand"

The James Bond producer and owner of EON Productions Barbara Broccoli has indicated that "Shatterhand" is not the title of the upcoming film - Bond 25. Broccoli signed a piece of fan art that included the rumored title "Shatterhand", however while signing the art, Broccoli added the words "It's not" next to the title.

The rumor started when industry publication Production Weekly stated the film was working under the title. Shooting for Bond 25 is due to start at Pinewood studios on 6 April.

The delay in shooting resulted in pushing back the flims release date to April 2020, however the delay in shooting was caused by extensive script rewrites, with Bourne Ultimatum writer Scott Z Burns now reworking the screenplay which was written by script drafts by Paul Haggis and the series’ writing team Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

It has also been reported that Rami Malek was in negotiations to join the cast of the film as the villain, however no announcement has been made yet - An announcement is expected to be made before the 6 April, which has happened with previous flims Skyfall and Spectre to avoid spoilers.

Bond 25 will be directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, written by Scott Z. Burns and star Daniel Craig in his fifth outing as James Bond. The film is set to be released in the US on the 8th of April 2020, and in the UK on the 3rd of April 2020 fitting in with the recent tradition of the flims opening in the UK ahead of North America.
